Police on Sunday took into custody television starlet Dimple and two others on charges of masterminding the acid attack on small-screen actor Sridhar Varma. Dimple and her assistant Mani were arrested by Kukatpally police following the revelation by Nagaraju that he had acted on the orders of the actress and carried out the attack on Sridhar on. Many producers and directors, including Ram Gopal Varma and Tamil director Anand, have requested Agni Sridhar to come back to films but he refused to oblige stating that he has been busy with. Sridhar Iyer is a finance professional. He was associated with the Ernst & Young (EY) Foundation previously. The shift from a finance role to the social sector was prompted both with his desire to give back to society (especially considering the larger platform provided by EY) as also with a desire to try and infuse a process driven culture.

Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Miheeka Bajaj on August 8. It was a traditional Andhra-style Hindu wedding ceremony at the Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad amidst tight security. Given the ongoing pandemic, there were just around 30 guests, which included the bride and groom’s immediate family and a few close friends.
